Construction Equipment Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Our client is a family run style business that specialises in the supply and service of forklift trucks. They require an experienced Bookkeeper/ Accountant to support the Directors. This position is part-time (approximately 20 hours per week and flexible).
The successful candidate will work alongside head of accounts. Other roles could be incorporated ultimately potentially resulting in more hours – but all tasks will be admin/accounting/customer service based.
Creditors – deals with all invoices, scans onto database, records on Sage software, gains authorisation for payment and prepares remittances ready for payment in a timely manner.
Performs month end recs of the bank
Prepares quarterly VAT returns
Prepares and posts monthly journals as necessary
Payroll:
Runs payroll at month end, including all HMRC submissions.
Reviews and posts monthly payroll journals.
Pensions:
Deals with Starters and Leavers, monthly reporting, and acts as liaison between pension provider and employees.
Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of Sage Accounting including Payroll, Excel and Word.
Minimum of 2 years practical experience in a comparable environment.
Excellent understanding and practical experience of performing full postings and reconciliations and analysis as basic part of the work.
