An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Senior at a thriving practice in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Clients range from small one-man band self-employed individuals to medium sized limited companies requiring a full compliance service.



  • The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the preparation of business accounts, including Limited Company accounts, with all but major queries resolved.
  • Will manage workflow, quality and ensure the work is completed within practice deadlines.
  • Have good knowledge in all matters relating to small business limited company accounts preparation
  • Prepare Corporation tax computations ready for review and then submit to HMRC
  • Prepare Personal tax computations ready for review, HMRC submissions
  • Prepare VAT returns and submissions


  • Minimum Part Qual Accountant ( ACA,ACCA, AAT or equivalent) 
  • Experience of accountancy software packages eg Sage 50, QuickBooks and Xero 
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good communications skills to effectively engage with both staff and clients.
  • Previous Accountancy practice experience is essential
  • Limited Co accounts prep and Corp tax is essential
  • Personal tax, VAT and CIS Scheme would be an advantage
  • Experience of audit assistance and completion would be an advantage but not necessary.
