National Charity with 3000 members is looking for a part time FD / FC to support

Monthly/Quarterly accounts consolidation and review

  • Preparation, completion and review of month end accounts as prepared by the Finance Officer
  • Provide timely, accurate financial analysis and management information to monitor performance and support decision making for the CEO
  • Complete monthly variance analysis for actual results against budget and forecast, explaining key variances
  • Prepare the overall budget and quarterly P&L forecasts with explanations for key movements
  • Prepare and explain monthly cashflow forecasts
  • Approval and review of balance sheet at month end
  • Reconciliation of investment balances
  • Liaison with the bank

Statutory accounts

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Responsible for external audit including liaison with auditors and providing information where appropriate
  • Ensure all Companies House and Charity Commission records are up to date

  • VAT return
  • Corporation Tax preparation and submission
  • Review of payroll as prepared by other providers
  • Liaison with external pension provider and required pensions reporting
One off
  • Initial review of processes and procedures as well as roles and responsibilities
  • Initial review of VAT following merger of NI and NI Ents
  • Finalisation of NI Ents dissolution

  • Experience of FC / FD in a Charity
  • XERO experience
