A recently relocated manufacturing company, based in Wolverhampton, is looking for a new Finance Manager to join their team. Once settled into the role , this can be a hybrid of home and in-office working. This is a part time role , three to four days a week.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a can do attitude and a strong background in accountancy, but who is keen to have the additonal challenge of working in logistics too.

This position is responsible for all aspects of finance, but being a small company, also links into purchasing and the supply chain.

The two primary purposes are to maintain the financial ledgers, and in particular the control of inventory; and to accurately forecast stock requirements and cashflow based on sales forecasts. The ability to articulate this information to the FD, and to maintain good relationships with key suppliers is paramount.

The role also has an oversight responsibility for HR, I.T. and Insurances within the company

• Maintain Purchase ledger

• Sales Ledger

• Stock control

• Maintain Asset register

• Month End reporting

• Year end reporting

• Monthly payroll


• Forecasting

• Control utility contracts and company mobile phone and insurance contracts

• HR - be the interface for suppliers of employees benefits - pensions, health ins, life ins , etc

• AAT qualified or equivalent

• Previous accounting experience is essential

• Previous logistic experience would be an advantage

• Experience of the accounting software Opera would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given

• SAGE experience would be an advantage as the intention is to switch over to this software

• Proficient with MS Office - Excel and word is essential

• Good communicator

• Proactive and self motivated
