A well established , manufacturing company based just outside Cambridge are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to make the next step into a Finance Manager role or who has already had relevant management experience. This role will report to the Managing Director and manage a small accounts team with the main focus being to direct, manage and control the finance and admin function of the business.

The role comes with the opportunity for flexible hours , ideally it will be a full time role but could be a minimum of 30 hours per week worked over four or five days

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts team of two staff
  
• Develop and improve existing financial systems and procedures
  
• Establish and improve overhead, manufacturing cost and product margin analysis
  
• Manage the payroll system
  
• Monitor credit control
• Produce month end reports for senior management
• Ensure effective financial relationships are maintained with all customers and suppliers

• Preferred: Qualified CIMA/ ACCA / AAT ( MIn Level 4) or similar
• Consultative approach, able to build effective relationships and manage difficult situations
• Influential/Persuasive at all levels
• Solutions orientated, able to problem solve
• Minimum two years financial management experience in an SME manufacturing company
• Strong accounting systems, Sage, ERP and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High numeracy and sound technical skills
• Problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.
