This leading European Packaging co is looking for a Finance Manager to join their accounts team at their Gainsborough site. Reporting to the FC, and deputising in his absence , this is an ideal role for a candidate looking for the next step in their career. 

• Annual budget preparation and process
• Rolling monthly forecast preparation
• Preparation and presentation of a monthly management reporting pack
• Inventory management and valuation
• Ownership of costing parameters, impairments, provisions etc.
• Ad hoc analysis of business / financial data
• Work with a Finance Team of 5 (plus IT & Commercial)
• Manage staff training and development plans to feed effective succession planning
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to (attendance, holidays etc.)
• Build strong working relationships with,and form an integral part of, the management team.
• Timely and accurate distribution of all daily, weekly and monthly reports.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a professional accountancy qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably with management experience.
• Previous experience of managing an accounts team would be an advantage
• Solid financial accounting/controlling experience.
• Computer literate with advanced Excel skills
• Able to communicate effectively on all levels to financial and non-financial audiences.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines and achieve targets in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Commercially aware with strong influencing skills
