We are a London-based financial media company looking for an accountant to support our external accountants, to ensure accounts are filled accurately and on time. The candidate will also act as an internal accountant and advisors to the directors, providing a synchronised overview across all business units.

• Ensure that all accounting regulatory requirements are prepared and filed correctly, and on time
• Aggregate accounts to ensure that directors have a synchronised overview of all businesses
• Ensure that directors salaries taxes etc are computed accurately and filed on time.
• Be main contact for all accounting queries
• Prepare cashflow forecasts
• Liaise with clients to obtain all information required
• Use Xero accounting software to provide quarterly accurate reporting directors
• Verify tax computations made by external accountants
• Check the preparations of statutory accounts have been prepared and filed correctly
• Carry out bank reconciliations
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Liaise with external accountants and service providers
• Create invoices and make payments to suppliers
• Prepare VAT Returns and payroll

• Minimum 36 months accounts experience in practice
• Ability to prepare statutory financial statements and related business tax returns
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive impression with clients
• In depth accounts knowledge
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Fluent English both written and verbal
