Business Description:

Our client provides tailored financial products that enable the companies they work with to offer their customers easy and flexible options to spread the cost of membership. The business is looking to improve its finance reporting, controls and target greater financial efficiency. You would take responsibility for a small finance team. The current FD is leaving very shortly and in the short/ medium term the position would suit a candidate looking for an Interim/ Contract/ Part-Time position and the client would consider flexibility. 

Role Description:
  • Ensure compliance with administration and financial regulations
  • Producing & maintaining financial & management accounts. 
  • Liaison with external accountants for tax and annual audit 
  • Supporting the Managing Director with information & data, as required.
  • Offer comment/advice/ideas on ways of improving Company performance 
  • To produce targeted and challenging weekly reporting to managers and decision makers
  • Responsibility for all external reporting to Investors, Government agencies and tax authorities.
  • Co-ordinate and produce an annual budget and provide regular updates 
  • To ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are performed monthly
  • To work with operational and commercial colleagues to calculate income and costs and devise appropriate and effective finance structures
  • To control cash exposure
  • To ensure that the business has the right information to support any significant decisions being made
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
Experience &
Skills Required:
  • Previous senior experience as a Finance Controller/ Director in an S.M.E.
  • A qualified/part qualified accountant with suitable experience of the loans finance industry 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Costing & pricing modelling experience
  • Desire to be part of a management team working to drive the business forward
  • Good experience of an ERP system would be advantageous
