Our client is a manufacturing business based in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

They are looking for a new Accounts Manager to manage the on-going activities in the Accounts department, liaising with external accountants for support where required and maintaining a reliable accounting system for the company.

• To prepare and managed monthly VAT returns. 
• Provide the MD with all reports pertaining to the company financials
• To provide Monthly business P&L and other ad hoc reporting to MD
• Project costs tracking
  • Manage consumables and site cost records
  • Maintain record of concrete consumable usage per site on monthly basis from invoices to prepare expenditure report
• To provide Monthly Project P&L and interrogation to MD and GM
• To provide Forecasting  and detail business analysis as required by the MD)
• To deliver the above as KPI's 
• Debt collection - Overall responsible for ensuring debts are kept to a minimum and are proactively managed and collected as quickly as possible. 
• Bank payments as required 
• Prepare supplier payment run for MD approval with recommendations to MD for delay or expedited payments.
• Corporation Tax review annually.
• Manage day to day accounting procedures via accounts assistant / junior bookkeeper or administrator (as appropriate) efficiently, effectively to ensure good accurate timely and proactive accounting for the company.
• Undertake any other tasks that may reasonably be required in accordance with the duties and the responsibilities of the post.ie assist with key tasks from other roles as requested to cover for holidays or absence

Recognised Accounting qualification or working towards full qualification (part qualified) with 3 - 5 years' experience within accounts OR 10 year plus broad-spectrum experience in accounting role plus
