This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a good all-round skill set who enjoys dealing with clients and management of their affairs. You will often be the first point of contact for our customers so you must have a good telephone manner and be comfortable communicating with people at all levels, including welcoming people at the offices.  We are a forward-thinking company utilising Technology via Cloud based software applications. The successful applicant must have an aptitude for technology and willingness to learn. Full training will be provided on all software. This is a permanent Full-Time position, however we would consider reduced hours for the right applicant. 


You will have clients allocated to you and the key duties of the post are as follows:

  • to  establish and maintain effective working relationships with your clients,  co-workers, supervisors and the general public
  • processing  invoices
  • recording receipts and payments
  • preparing and checking ledger balances 
  • monitoring company expenses
  • drafting financial reports
  • completing and submitting personal tax returns/Company accounts/Corporation Tax returns with HMRC and Companies House
  • to communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions 
  • to manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications and CRM
  • to regularly review client record keeping and pro actively suggest solutions to help them improve their business record keeping and monitoring
  • to maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
  • to adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of systems, equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
  • other routine administrative tasks as assigned
 

  • Good General IT skills - MS word, excel, email, social media etc. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Excellent organisation and time management to ensure deadlines are met
  • Able to work on your own as well as part of the team (given guidance)
  • Plenty of common sense
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous bookkeeping, accountancy and tax experience is preferable but not essential as training is available
