Our Nottingham based client are looking for a part-time Management Accountant (3 days per week).

This would suit someone who is happy to do approx 3 days a week or, if it fits in better with their schedule, later start, earlier finish across the week.

• Purchase ledger - recording supplier invoices, reconciling contractor invoices to purchase orders, entering supplier payments, monthly reconciliation of supplier statements, dealing with supplier queries
• Sales ledger – raising customer invoices, updating invoice details to CRM system, credit control, recording customer receipts, issue monthly customer statements, dealing with customer queries.
• Banking – entering payments including direct debits/standing orders, entering debit card receipts, bank reconciliation, reconciling petty cash, processing supplier payments
• Payroll – processing monthly payroll for employees (c15), approval of expenses, payment of expenses, submissions to HMRC, submissions to Pension Provider
• Management accounts – prepayments, accruals, depreciation, fixed asset register, WIP, control accounts reconciliation, profit & loss acc, balance sheet.
• Invoice discounting – submissions to Bank, monthly reconciliation, management of receipts.
• Cash management – manage cash on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, notify MD of any issues within a timely manner.
• HMRC – VAT returns, payments of P11d, VAT and PAYE & NI. Forecasting – profit forecasts, cashflow forecasts
• Liaise with external parties including banks, external accountants, etc.

• AAT qualified or QBE
• Experience with Xero, or a web-based accountancy software package
• Experience with CRM system
• Experience with Microsoft excel – ideally pivot tables, formulas e.g. autosum, IF, conditional formatting
• Experience working within a similar sized business (turnover £1-2mil)
• Able to work alone and resolve any finance related issues, no other finance people within the business
• Able to prioritise their own workload and hit deadlines
• Very hands-on, the role is very varied and includes everything from bookkeeping to forecasting
• Accuracy and an eye for detail
