A venture backed tech company is looking to appoint a part time Financial Director/CFO to provide active support to the next stage of development of the business.

The role will initially be part-time – with an expected commitment level of 6 to 8 days per month (although this may increase during certain periods of the investment cycle). As the role and the company develops this is expected to shift to a full-time commitment.

Over the next 12-18 months they expect to complete two major equity finance rounds with multi-million pound targets

Experience:

1. Able to display knowledge and understanding of the challenges of building-up a hardware-based IP-focused venture backed business;
2. Already operated at FD/CFO level in a start-up company which has undergone sustained high-growth;
3. Track record of strategy development, governance, operational experience;
4. Some operations experience could be advantageous.
5. Ideal candidate needs to have worked in start-up with seed/series A fund raising experience

1. Effective and enthusiastic communicator with experience of dealing with shareholders, potential investors and wider stakeholders;
2. Strong financial modeller, able to build, present and stress test business plans;
3. Able to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure sound financial management and reporting;
4. Useful, but not essential, possessing a technical degree but, at minimum, first-hand knowledge of working with a deep-tech business.
