Our client is a sustainability think tank. Working with stakeholders across EU institutions, international bodies, academia, civil society and industry, their team of policy professionals composed of economists, scientists and lawyers produce evidence-based research and policy insight.
As a non-for-profit organization with over 40-years of experience, they are committed to advancing impact-driven sustainability policy across the EU and the world. They are a self-financing, not for profit institute with offices in Brussels and central London. They operate thanks to the support received from the European Commission, from charitable trusts and foundations, other NGOs, local governments, environmental agencies, international bodies and from the private sector.
Due to a departure in their London team, they are urgently looking for a senior finance profile with the specific knowledge of a non-profit in the UK (accounting in Sage, payroll in Sage Payroll, knowledge of UK Charity Commission, tax, VAT and administrative standards).
They consists in 2 legal entities : (UK Charity) and (an EU based non-profit organization with a branch office in the UK).
The key challenge of the candidate will be to set up long term arrangements in the UK for both entities while maintaining a good level of operation support to our programs. Together with the Brussels main office, the objectives will be :
