Our client is a charity based in Birmingham. They require a qualified/part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months with an immediate start.

This is a part time role - 21 hours per week.


  • Qualified or part qualified in a recognised accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience of producing management accounts and annual accounts.
  • Experience of managing complex budgets
  • Experience of presenting financial information to non- financial staff and being comfortable with dealing with all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of collecting, managing and analysing complex data and statistics.
  • Working within a culture of continuous improvement and proven experience of implementing and maintaining a range of quality assurance processes.




  • Evidence of working on own initiative with a proactive approach to problem solving. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a proven ability to manage challenging and competing demands, respond to change and act under pressure.
  • Ability to work methodically with strong attention to detail skills. 
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively within a team, to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • ICT literate and familiar with a range of software packages including accounting software and advanced knowledge of excel
