Our client, a well established Accountancy practice in Nottingham, is seeking a part-time Payroll/Accounts assistant for approximately 20 hours per week. The role could be a full time position for a candidate with good practice experience.
Processing of payrolls for approximately 80 clients
Processing of new starters, and finishers
Handling of P45's, P60's, maternity pay, sick pay etc
Dealing with payroll queries via email and phone
Preparation of third party payments to HMRC , Pension administrators, childcare providers etc
Reconciliation of monthly ledgers
Completion of year end runs, P11D's, P60's etc
This role could be extended to a full time position for a candidate with good bookkeeping/ credit control knowledge and experience of working in a practice environment would be an advantage.
Qualified Bookkeeper/Accountant preferable
Recent, relevant payroll experience
Good accounting software knowledge and experience - SAGE payroll
Experienced Excel user and proficient in other MS Office products.
Proactive and self-motivated with excellent system skills
