My client within the manufacturing sector, situated in Derbyshire is looking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Interim Financial Controller with good operational experience.
This will be a very hands on role with some support staff but they are junior and not qualified
The key priorities are:
The monthly management accounts need to be taken in hand so that they are ready within the first week and they are reliable
There needs to be a budget review for the current year and a realistic reforecast for the rest of the year
Both of the above need underpinning with reliable cashflow forecasts for the rest of the year and a rolling 13 week forecast which is rolled forward on a weekly basis
They need to get underneath the current trading performance to ensure that the costing assumptions used when work is bid are realistic and being delivered in practice
The following two years need reasonable forecasts which will include expansion to a new unit with realistic CAPEX and trading impact assumptions
Get to grips with MI
Building the information bridge with the MRP
Work alongside the Head of Operations to deliver cost of sale targets in labour and materials
Analyse the current year budget and regularly update
Build the longer term model including the investment element with new premises and equipment
Financial modeling
Producing MI and Management Accounts
Manufacturing sector experience is preferable
Qualified accountant or part qualified with extensive experience
Capacity to influence and implement change
An excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
The credibility and gravitas to influence.
Ability to handle pressure and critical decision making
Good IT skills and experience of ERP systems
Excellent management and leadership skills
