Our engineering sector client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team .
They need someone with good operational experience, who can take control of the balance sheet reconciliations, budgets and month ends etc and report to the Finance Director.
To control Purchase ledger
To control Sales Ledger
Monthly preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations to cover all balance sheet accounts, with additional supporting documentation quarterly.
Control and update of the Group fixed asset register
To fully control the HP creditor schedule
To monitor and report on budget and forecast variances on a monthly basis for the balance sheet of the Group.
To take a lead role in the production of year-end analysis and preparation for audit, liaising with internal and external auditors as required, to supply accurate and timely information.
To assist the Management Accountant with forecasting and budget preparation.
To support merger and acquisition and project activity as required.
Experienced Finance Professional
Part/qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or qualified AAT
Strong Financial and Reporting skills
Excellent understanding and practical experience of performing full reconciliations and analysis.
Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
Consistent attention to detail and accuracy of work.
The ability to self-manage and prioritise and planning of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
