Our client is a well-established leading design and bespoke manufacturing company with a reputation for quality and deliverability. It is seeking to expand its senior management team to continue a diversification strategy and maintain strong margins. 

The business is in excellent shape and well positioned to implement this strategy. You will be reporting to the Managing Director and Operations Director. Duties will include supervising accounting staff, overseeing internal controls, setting financial targets, implementing fund-raising strategies, engaging with investors, developing financial strategy, conducting feasibility studies, monitoring expenditure, monitoring cash flow, evaluating investments, and managing tax compliance.


  • Producing & maintaining financial & management accounts.
  • Liaison with external accountants for tax and annual audit
  • Supporting the Managing Director with information & data, as required.
  • Offer comment/advice/ideas on ways of improving Company performance
  • To produce targeted and challenging weekly reporting to managers and decision makers
  • Responsibility for all external reporting to Investors, Government agencies and Tax authorities.
  • Co-ordinate and produce an annual budget and provide regular updates
  • To ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are performed monthly
  • To work with operational and commercial colleagues to calculate income and costs and devise appropriate and effective finance structures
  • To control cash exposure
  • To ensure that the business has the right information to support any significant decisions being made
  • Ensure compliance with administration and financial regulations
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.



  • Qualification or Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Previous experience as a Finance Controller/ Director in an S.M.E.
  • A qualified accountant with suitable industry experience
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software (although will be upgrading)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Costing & Pricing modelling experience
  • Desire to be part of a management team working to drive the business forward
  • Good experience of an ERP system installation and use would be advantageous
