Our client a new accountancy practice near Southampton is seeking part-time homeworking qualified accountants to support the practice’s continued business expansion. 

You will work closely with all the existing team and will be taking a leading role in monitoring the work outputs of the Practice’s and Client’s Management Accounting and Bookkeeping staff.

• Planning and review of Bookkeeping & Management Accounts prepared by others and provide feedback for corrections.
• Monitoring of the Preparation and submission of VAT Returns and EC Sales Lists
• Advising on Period end adjustments and finalisation of Management Accounts
• Managing a portfolio of larger clients producing KPI’s, management packs etc. You will have constant verbal and email communication
• Training and advice to clients and practice staff on how to maintain books and records using online bookkeeping systems like XERO & IRIS.

• Have at least 5 year’s relevant work experience working in a practice environment
• Ability to review the VAT Returns and Management Accounts prepared by others and provide feedback for corrections and finalisation.
• Good understanding of VAT rules and regulations.
• Good working knowledge of accounting packages (Xero, IRIS, QuickBooks online, SAGE, although some training will be provided on the online packages).
• Excellent Excel and Word skills.
• Fully I.T literate.
