A Cornish challenger brand, selling advanced communication technology and associated services to both B2B and B2C markets.

Permanent role Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance. Pension in line with government guidance.

This role is your chance to help shape the development of the finance function and move on to become the Finance Director in time.

  • The business has offices in Redruth and Liskeard and the candidate can work from either. However, the Finance and Office Manager works from the Redruth office so it will be necessary to work from there as part of the role.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the effective management of the finances of the business and put in place relevant and workable controls to maintain good corporate governance around finance.

You will work closely with the Finance Director, the Finance and Office Manager who will report to you, and other senior management to develop and implement a step change in the analysis and reporting capability of the business.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key supplier relationships and ensuring that those suppliers adhere to the company’s standards and where possible seek alternative suppliers to ensure the company does not have a single point of failure as it grows.

You will be taking a senior role in the business and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to grow with it.



You will have enjoyed previous hands on experience in industry and be a qualified accountant to chartered or certified level with at least 5 years post qualification experience. Ideally you will be familiar with small growing businesses and the demands and pressures of diverse shareholders.

It is likely during the course of 2020 that the company will receive significant investment and this will demand regular reporting to external stakeholders and measurement of progress against plan.

  • natural leadership skills, setting high standards along with considerable skills in analysing significant amounts of data.
