Our client is a Jersey based PE Investor. They are looking for an experienced Accountant to take on a key role as Invoice Controller in their business.
This role can be a fully remote, home working role and can therefore be based anywhere.
The role can be done part time (probably 3 days per week). The key is finding a candidate with a traditional PL clerk type mentality to get on top of the invoice process in the business.
To provide a first-class administrative support service our client, all administered Vehicles and the various Advisory offices.
The role has multiple contact points with outside admin providers, banks and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Collate and process the invoices relating to actual deal project costs against budget for all active Fund investments on an in-house supplier tracking system to allow for close monitoring of project costs.
Collate and process the invoices relating to actual expenses on an in-house supplier tracking system to allow for close monitoring of operating expenses.
Provide and further develop Management Information through reports to relevant boards and stakeholders on project status, supplier spend and controlling initiatives.
Arrange for payment of all received invoices in an accurate and timely fashion by the admin team through liaison with the admin and accounting teams.
Update the status of paid invoices through monitoring within the online payments system, EQ
Assist with any new systems or upgrades relevant to the role
Liaison with outsourced admin provider who processes the majority of invoices
Managing the handling of and response to inbound queries collected via a central inbox
Generally draw on prior experience to ensure that the status of invoices is known within our client as well as at suppliers.
You will be actively involved in the monitoring, controlling and reporting on deal costs for all active Funds as well as the operating costs of our client
As this is a remote role, you must be set up for home working and video conference calls
You should have demonstrable experience of being able to manage several workstreams simultaneously in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
General IT capability; Microsoft Office suite ; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF
Technologically proficient to be able to interrogate different systems, particularly a willingness to learn new systems where in-house ones are used.
Whilst an accountancy qualification may be an advantage for this role no professional qualification is required. Structured training in a large organisation may be an advantage. Also, experience of working in a smaller office environment and company will be highly regarded as roles can be fluid in a small team.
The successful candidate will be adaptable in their communication style to suit the various stakeholders and able to work on their own initiative in a remote environment. They will have demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy, with good multi-tasking and time management skills.
