Finance manager required to run the accounts function for a construction industry business based in Northampton. 

This is currently a full time role but can be a part time role for the right candidate as some of the current responsibilities could be outsourced to their external accountants.

The company is well established, having been incorporated over 40 years ago, and has grown to a 25 million turnover business with 30 employees.


  • Sales Ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Payroll , both monthly and weekly for 27 employees
  • Subcontractor CIS Scheme work
  • VAT
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Liaise with external accountants for year end processing



  • Part Qual/qualified bookkeeper/accountant 
  • Experience of Pegasus Opera accounting system is essential
  • Strong Excel skills
  • CIS Scheme experience
  • Payroll experience is preferable
  • Able to take sole responsibility for the accounting function
  • management reporting experience
  • Great communication skills
