Our client, a maintenance company based in Brentwood Essex, is seeking an Accounts/Office manager to take sole responsibility for the accounts and to run the office.

This is a full time role (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm).

The successful applicant will report to the MD. They will have gained good all round experience in accounting, including payroll and management accounts, and have a strong work ethic . SAGE and SAGE payroll experience is essential. 


  • Sales Ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Payroll 
  • VAT
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Liaise with external accountants for year end processing
  • Manage the general office
  • Adhoc admin duties


  • Part Qual/qualified bookkeeper/accountant
  • Experience of SAGE is essential
  • Experience of SAGE payroll is essential
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Payroll experience is essential
  • Able to take sole responsibility for the accounting function
  • management reporting experience
  • Great communication skills
