This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, or part qualified accountant who is looking for the next step in their career. The company is a family run manufacturing business with an annual turnover of £16m. The role will report directly to the Finance Director and the Managing Director. They are looking for someone who is keen to develop leadership skills and assist in the coordination of company financial controls, reporting, and planning. They currently use SAGE but have plans to upgrade and expect that the successful candidate will be involved in the project to find and implement a suitable management system for the whole business.

  • Management accounts 
  • Month end Reporting
  • Month end forecast
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations 
  • Cash flow & budgets
  • Ensure that the financial records are accurate and complete with adequate supporting information 
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and other appropriate legislation requirements.
  • Work with department managers to ensure that financial information is clearly understood and assist in developing and monitoring internal controls.
  • Investment management work
  • Property management work (the business owns a number of properties in the area that are rented )
  • Be involved in the implementation of a new management system for the business

  • Part qualified / newly qualified Accountant ( CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Knowledge of SAGE is essential
  • Proactive and self motivated
  • Minimum of five years accountancy experience
