Bookkeeper / Administrator required for London based Tech company (4 days per week). The role will be remote for the foreseeable future.
The role will be based at home on an initial 6 month contract.
This role is key to supporting the growth of a new and exciting enterprise for software as a service in the construction sector.
You will be the central point of bookkeeping and administration support as well as for users of our software.
You will be expected to provide the full range of administration from answering customer queries and maintaining key performance information to more complex duties such as reconciling payments and producing monthly management accounts.
You will also be the first point of contact to provide technical assistance to platform users. Answer questions or resolve issues for clients via telephone or electronically. You will therefore need excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with people on all levels
The ideal person will be responsible and highly organised with a natural flair for administration and accounts. Common sense is essential and there is a real opportunity to make this role your own.
• Able to use Xero, knowledge of other bookkeeping software and advantage
• All aspects of bookkeeping for a small enterprise including:
Accounts receivable and accounts payable
Recording financial transactions
Processing VAT returns
Preparation of management reports
Paying regular company bills
Knowledge of payroll and able to deal with HMRC
MS Office proficient
Handling customer queries including IT queries
Responding in a prompt manner to platform service issues and user support requests.
Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements software usage or modifications.
Knowledge of UK construction sector and advantage
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
IT Literate and able to quickly pick up bespoke programs and guide others through them
Self-motivated – needs to be able to get on with things when working alone with no onsite direct supervision
Flexible – to grow with a changing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage with all levels
