Our client is a technology company based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
They are looking to hire a new Financial Controller / Chief Accountant to replace the incumbent who is retiring. The role reports to the Finance Director and will also manage a team.
Role Purpose: To lead and inspire the Finance team in the production of timely and credible financial data in order to ensure legal compliance, effective cost control and to inform sound decision making on business strategy for the future success and growth of the business. Provide support and specialist advice to the Executive and other group managers.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire and develop the Finance team based in Kettering
Functional management of Finance staff based in other offices
Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts (including review, analysis and follow-up)
Group Statutory Reporting – preparation of annual Financial Statements for group companies including consolidated accounts. Review foreign accounts prepared locally.
Working capital management including credit control, forecasting and treasury management
Liaising with professional advisers including bankers and auditors
Working with managers to improve performance.
Working with the Executive regarding financial management of the business
Ensure effective payroll processes in place
Ensure all finance related systems are appropriate and updated as required.
Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACMA or ACA)
Demonstrable experience of leading and motivating a team
Disciplined approach to financial controls and reconciliations.
Experience of producing accounts for multiple group companies
Experience of producing consolidated accounts for underlying companies held in multiple currencies
Strong communicator
Good IT literacy including advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Excel
