Our client is a technology organisation based in Central London. They offer a unique digital Software as a Service (Saas) product that enables accelerated insights and analytics.

The role will work remotely with monthly meetings at the head office. It is envisaged that the role will initially be for 1-2 days per week.

The role will report directly to the Managing Directors and is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Manager / Management accountant looking to balance new challenges in a tech scale-up environment with an initially part-time role.

Key requirements will centre around the ability to build and manage processes utilising the experience of best practice procedures to drive the financial management of a fast-paced growing tech organisation.

You will work with the management team to achieve the following: 

• Manage accounting operations to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Own the month-end process and the preparation of effective and timely management accounts.
• Drive financial performance to achieve organisational targets
• Implementation and monitoring of an effective internal control environment and management of financial systems.
• Effectively control working capital
• Support of a bookkeeper to manage monthly tasks
• Coordinate the auditing processes including statutory accounts preparation.
• Take responsibility for performance against budget through detailed variance analysis. 
• Ensure compliance with all HMRC regulations.
• Involvement in business planning and longer-term strategy 

Skills and qualifications: 

• ACA / CIMA/ ACCA qualified desired
• Experience within a similar role, ideally within a scale-up and tech-based environment
• Experienced using XERO desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with a can-do and positive approach
• A natural self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly analytical and extremely organised.
• Excellent organisational skills and written/verbal communication
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion to support the growth of an expanding global business
