Our client, an import/wholesaler company based in Huddersfield, requires an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to cover an initial 12 months of maternity leave. It is then envisaged that the role will progress to permanent management accountant / company secretary role.

This successful business is looking for an experienced all round Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their small accounts team of three. A good working knowledge of SAGE 200 is essential.

This is a part time role for 3-4 days a week, with some remote working available.



  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Adhoc reporting 
  • Assist external accountants with their year end queries
  • Management Accountants experience would be good

  • AAT or equivalent would be an advantage but QBE Will also be considered
  • SAGE 200 experience is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting/bookkeeping experience is essential
  • Good knowledge of word and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work independently
