We have an exciting opportunity for a freelance bookkeeper/ assistant accountant who is interested in working for an award winning company in the construction industry, based in their offices near Milton Keynes. This is initially a part time role ( three days per week) , but increasing to full time in October.  


  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Wages - CIS Scheme
  • VAT returns
  • Bank reconcilitaions
  • Maintain a monthly reconciliation of site costs, agreed to Nominal Ledger
  • Half yearly and year end accounts work
  • Petty cash reconciliations
  • MIleage and Expenses reporting



  • Qualified Bookkeeper/Accountant is preferred – will consider QBE
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills - Including high proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Accurate record keeping is essential and good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise and organise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to multitask.
