Hertfordshire based client (£12m turnover) are looking for a new dynamic Management Accountant / Financial Controller to lead their Finance Team.

The business has operations across London the incumbent who has been in position for 15+ years is leaving the company and so the company are now looking to find their replacement.

This is a "hands on" role with the supervision of 3 team members & reporting directly to the 3 owners on a daily basis.

This will be a number 1 Finance position reporting to the Directors of the company, managing the day to day finances of the company (£10-12m turnover)

  • Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly Management Accounts
  • Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly Management Accounts - franchise businesses
  • Quarterly Vat Returns
  • Year End Accounts to audit level
  • Ongoing Liason With Own & Franchisee Accountants
  • Own Supplier Payments
  • Franchisee Supplier Payments
  • Franchise Agreements - new & renewals
  • Monthly/Quarterly Franchise Finance Meetings As Required
  • Monday Morning Previous Weeks Sales Analysis For Directors
  • Sales Targets & Analysis
  • Cashflow of both Own Company & Franchise Companies
  • Paye/Ni/Pension Reconcilliations & Payments
  • Monthly Government Statistics
  • Monthly Credit Card Analysis
  • Partners Vehicle lnsurances & Road Tax
  • Quarterly Rent Payments & Liase With Landlords/Managing Agents
  • Company lnsurance Renewals & Claims
  • Assist Directors With Legal lssues & Liase With Lawyers
  • ESFA Analysis & Monitoring Of Government lncome
  • Regular Contact With Barclays Bank Relationship Manager
  • Government Covid Claims
  • County Court Claims
  • Supervision of Payroll Department including P11D & Year End Return
  • Supervision of lT Department
  • Supervision of Weekly Orders
  • Liase with outsourced lT contractor on Hardware/Software
  • Electricity, Gas & Phone Contracts
  • Trade Mark Renewals
  • Any Other Task Deemed To Be Part Of The Financial Controller Role

  1. SAGE experience
  2. Applicant would ideally be a recently qualified/QBE Management Accountant with experience of Sage software packages.
  3. This is a "hands on" role with the supervision of 3 team members & reporting directly to the 3 owners on a daily basis
  4. Experience of running a Finance Department
  5. Good accounting software knowledge and experience
