We are currently planning to recruit for an accounting person as our current senior part time accounts person is planning to retire. The role would be part time, primarily office based (1-2 days per week) and the role would be to provide accounting support to our book keeper, admin and our accountants.

The candidate should have an excellent knowledge and experience of accounting and working within an SME.




The role would be part time, primarily office based (1-2 days per week) and the role would be to provide accounting support to our book keeper, admin and our accountants in the following areas:

  • Good working knowledge of SAGE50 (or similar SAGE software)
  • Payroll and expenses
  • Management of the assets to ensure that are accounted for correctly
  • EOM Management Reports
  • Ensuring that the HRC and other commitments are done on time
  • On going error checking of the accounts
  • General book keeping when our book keeper is on holiday
  • EOY preparation of the accounts to forward to our accountants
  • And other necessary accounting functions


  • Experienced FC / FD of working in SME business
  • Looking for a part time role (approx. 2 days per week)
  • Experience of working directly with owners of business and managing staff
