A property management co based in Maidstone, Kent are looking for a Property Accounts Manager to join their team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in accountancy property management/lettings. The right candidate will display professionalism, enthusiasm, strong numerical skills and attention to detail. They will also be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.


Office Hours - Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm


Key responsibilities

  • Banking
  • Checking statements
  • Posting receipts
  • Complete regular 3 way reconciliations on the main account and reserve account
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for holding client monies

Residential Account duties

  • Process supplier and other agent invoices
  • Prepare landlord statements
  • Process new tenancy and renewal transactions
  • Release tenant deposits
  • Chase tenant rent arrears and client fee arrears

Commercial Account Duties

  • Liaise with property manager to ensure sufficient funds are held on account
  • Send out demands for rent, insurance and service charges
  • Produce rent statements, deduct commissions and process payments to clients
  • VAT Statements for clients
  • Qtrly and annual returns to HMRC for landlords
  • Occasionally assist with office accounts 


  • An accountancy qualification would be an advantage ( AAT/CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent, but QBE will also be considered
  • Previous experience in accountancy property management/lettings is essential
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Computer literate , although training on bespoke accounts software will be given
