A well-established and successful managed IT services provider (MSP) with a vibrant culture, needs a management accountant to cover a period of maternity leave for at least 6 months. This role will cover all aspects of the management accounts including budgets, forecasts and tax. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of SAGE 200. 

PREPARATION OF ACCOUNTS

• The preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and associated reports for monthly Board meetings
• Ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systems
  
• Reporting & analysis of historical & projected data
  

BUDGETS & FORECASTS

• Providing support to the CFO in the preparation of budgets & reviewing forecasts
• Monitoring, review & reporting of variances to the Board
  

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & CONTROLS

• Manage Accounts Payable, ensuring the accurate & timely payment of creditors
• Effectively manage the debtors and cash balances
• Oversee effective & efficient credit control
• Oversee & ensure accurate bank reconciliations
  
• Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings
• Oversee the monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees
• Play an active part in producing an internal controls & procedures manual review and adoption by management
• Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organisation

TAXATION

• Ensure returns for Corporation tax, VAT and other relevant taxes are submitted

SYSTEMS & TECHNICAL

• To take a lead role in the management & workings of Sage 200
• To take a lead role in the management & workings of ConnectWise
  

• Part Qual/Qualified Accountant ( AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA) 
• +8yrs Accounting experience
• SAGE 200 experience is essential
• Good knowledge of UK Accounting Standards
• Good taxation knowledge
  
• Excel proficient.
• Previous experience within the IT industry, preferably in a MSP
