An Accountancy practice in Sutton Coldfield are looking for an experienced practice accountant/bookkeeper to join their team of eight staff.  As a small business themselves , they understand the challenges and are well placed to provide compliance and advisory services to small businesses and their owners. 

The role is initially a 3-6 month contract , but with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. Reporting to the principle accountant this role can be part time or full time. Previous practice experience is essential. This will be an ideal role for someone wanting to work on their own portfolio of clients and see the acccounts through from bookkeeping to year end completion.

• Regular client bookkeeping work
• Month end reports
• Bank Reconciliations
• VAT returns and submissions
  
• Year end accounts, working papers in Excel
• Posting year end journals on to accounts production software
• Preparation of draft year end accounts

• Qualified/Part Qual Accountant an advantage ( ACA/ACCA/AAT ) QBE will also be considered
• Previous experience in a practice setting is essential
• Quick Books experience is an advantage
• Digita experience is an advantage , but training will be given
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to deal with queries confidently and concisely
• Good communication skills both with internal team and clients
