An engineering company that are the leaders in their field and based in Tividale near Dudley, are looking for a new Company Accountant to join their team.

This long established business with an annual turnover approaching £10m, is looking to recruit a Company Accountant to help both steer and drive the business into a new chapter in the company’s history. Reporting to the MD, this position may be ideal for an experienced accountant, or for someone looking for their first senior role.

By working closely with the current management team, the candidate will need to have a high level of business acumen, a flair for modern day accountancy practices along with all the usual attributes associated with this high profile role.

The candidate should have an understanding of the Pegasus Opera accounting software along with associated Microsoft applications currently being updated to comply with HMRCs MTD requirements.

• Managing day to day accounts processing and superviving a team of 3 accounts staff
  
• Oversee Purchase ledger
  
• Oversee Sales Ledger
• Oversee Payroll
  
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
  
• Prepare the year end and work with the company auditors and bank requirements as needed.
  
• Prepare, cash flow analysis.
  
• Prepare, analyse and report, on a monthly basis all areas of costs included in the business
  
• Produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  

• Qualified/Part Qual Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT min level 3) but QBE will be considered
• Will have worked at senior level , or be looking for career progression
• Good Pegasus Opera accounting software knowledge and experience
• Experienced Excel user and proficient in other MS Office products.
• Proactive and self-motivated with excellent system skills.
