A leading full-service offshore law firm with a global presence is actively seeking a new Managing Director to join their NZ based team. 

• 12 years’ experience gained in upper management positions in the trust company sector.
• 10 years’ experience as an executive director or equivalent in a significant trust company environment.
• Excellent management, financial management and personnel skills.
• Able to demonstrate a flair for marketing with previous responsibility for market development.
• As there will be opportunities for overseas marketing, a working knowledge of US, Latin American and Asian markets (and tax regimes) would be strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop new business from their own contact base an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant technical issues that affect the trust industry generally, including local and international trust and company laws, trust and company administration practices, compliance and anti-money laundering laws and practices.
• Law/ Accounting degree from an internationally recognised university
• It is a pre-requisite for the role that the candidate must be either a TEP, a qualified NZ chartered accountant, or a lawyer admitted to practice in NZ.
