A well established firm of Chartered Accountants is looking for a new Practice Accountant to join their team. This role will be a perfect opportunity for an experienced accountant who is willing to take responsibility for the practices own accounts and have a small portfolio of clients too. The business has recently started outsourcing its data entry and part of the role will be to manage, monitor and review that process.

The company are offering a flexible hybrid of home and in-office working with two to three days a week at home.

Manage the practices own accounts 

• Purchase ledger
• Sales ledger and credit control
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT
• Month end reporting

Client work

• Take responsibility for a small portfolio of clients
• manage all aspects of the clients accounts through to year end submissions

Manage Outsourcing Work

• Manage monitor and maintain the outsourcing contract
• An  outsourcing company manages all the day to day client postings which need to be reviewed and checked as accurate

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
• ACCA/ACA qualified / part qualified ( AAT minumum level 4) Will consider QBE if its in a practice setting
• Excellent client facing skills
  
• Able to liaise professionally via the telephone, letter and e-mail
• Excellent IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word,Outlook, Sage Line 50 and Xero.
  
• Ability to work without supervision and to work to deadlines
