A Plc Tech Company, based in Fleet ,is searching for a FD/Co secretary to join their team.

The Finance Director has responsibilities as a member of both the Board of Directors and of the Senior Leadership Team, as a decision maker and a challenger. As a senior leader, they will be expected to fully endorse and champion the Vision and Values of the Company.

The functional aspect of the role covers overseeing all financial operations of the Group, with a specific responsibility for the European region. The decision-making role involves solving issues relating to the financing of operations across the Group. The challenger role involves challenging the Senior Leadership Team  on strategy design and the effective delivery of that strategy.

The Finance Director is also expected to undertake the role of Company Secretary, responsible for the efficient administration of the company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are recorded and actioned.



  • Setting, Championing & Challenging Strategy
  • Budgets - Oversee group annual budgets
  • Oversee day to day Financial Activities
  • Ensures the timely production of management information and monthly reporting for key stakeholders
  • Ensures that the company provides timely accounts data for all companies in the Group to the Executive Team and as required for both shareholders and regulatory bodies
  • Undertakes detailed consolidation work to produce Parent Company financial data
  • Works in support of the Parent Company annual external audit to ensure a successful and accurate outcome
  • Liaises with the Company’s auditors in the preparation of all tax returns across the Group
  • Managing the Finance Team
  • Oversee Financial Processes and Procedures across the group
  • Project Cost Reviews
  • As Company Secretary, ensure that the company complies with all relevant legislation in its areas of operations with regard to the filing of returns, payments of taxes etc

  • The Finance Director should be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 
  • Should also have experience in dealing with commerciality, stakeholders and board members.
  • Should have several years’ experience in a financial management role 
  • Experience with effective cost control
  • Good leadership skills are important, especially concerning the development of staff skills.
