This is a leadership role in a highly specialised high performance business, offering expertise/advice at the highest level, based in Cheshire and London. The right person will be expected to deal with all areas of the business to coordinate processes and operations across the organization. We need an experienced manager to join our senior leadership team, with experience of budgeting and financial management, operations, human resources and IT systems, to support the business as a whole. This is a remote working role , although occasional trips to cheshire and London may be required.
Aims of the role
Strategic planning and business integration
Change management to adapt to strategic priorities
Business process development to support workflow and efficiency
Project management including developing key goals, timeframes, and resource needs
Consideration of IT systems to support the strategy and projects
Talent management including appraisals, training and recruitment of key staff.
Advice to business units on support systems, processes and policies
Offer strategic planning and business development advice to the Managing Director
Facilitates the development of high-performance business which is ambitious and provides specialist advice and service to clients
Works with unit heads to make sure the organisation is equipped to meet the current and future needs of the client group
Develops a culture consistent with the vision and values
Deputise for the Managing Director
The ideal candidate will have a degree, or a track record of success in managing a small business, preferably in a knowledge-based business
Skilled communicator and ‘people person’ who is able to influence others and get things done
They will be able to drive business improvement while working collaboratively with the experts and communicate well across the whole team.
Have experience of managing change and strategy development, preferably in a knowledge/expert industry
Ability to develop business processes and project management systems to support efficient workflow and delivery
Combine attention to detail and delivery as well as holding the big picture in mind
Ability to problem solve with others to reach solutions which are appropriate and acceptable
Adaptable and flexible attitude to enable change to be accepted and understood by all the staff
Positive outlook and team player to create a good working environment for all staff
Have a can do attitude, relish solving problems and working in/with/inspiring teams
