Specialists in their field, this company based in Stockport are looking for a new Company Accountant / Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. 

The role will report to and assist the MD and be part of the senior management team, as well as manage the accounts department ( 2 staff) . The ideal candidate will be a real all-rounder, with excellent previous experience in a similar FM role.

• Taking day-to-day responsibility for the accounts department
• Overseeing and ensuring that entries are recorded and entered correctly for both purchases and sales.
• Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Working alongside the management team, to make improvements to procedures and controls
• Overseeing payroll
• Overseeing procurement spending
• Overseeing year end stock take

• Qualified / PQ Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/AAT) but QBE will be considered with relevant experience
• Experience working within a financial background in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Good level of IT literacy
• Positive attitude and capable of taking ownership of tasks
• Analytical and able to challenge existing processes to look for improvements
