Based in Cheltenham town centre a specialist insurance broker is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle the Managing Director’s private business and personal accounting. Candidates should be suitably qualified, with an extensive working knowledge of using Sage 50 and Excel spreadsheets.
The position is for 8-10 hours per week negotiable, with the flexibility to work additional hours if required. This could be on an employed or self-employed basis.
Maintain full accounts including P&L and BS responsibility for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Charities
Produce Monthly Management Accounts
Perform multiple bank reconciliations and report bank movement to the MD
Process supplier and contractor electronic payments
Liaise with Accountants and Bank Managers
Deal with statutory requirements for Companies House
Administer the MD’s Directors Loan Account and reporting on such
Manage the MD’s personal and family finances
Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/AAT) but QBE will be considered with relevant experience
Good previous experience in an accounting role
Good level of IT literacy
Positive attitude and capable of taking ownership of tasks
Analytical and able to challenge existing processes to look for improvements
