A well established , manufacturing/engineering company based just outside Cambridge are looking for a Part time Management Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to make the next step in their career but has previous experience in a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for all the management accounts, variance analysis, budgets, forecasting and costing for the business.

Its a part time role , 3 days a week but with flexibility on the hours are worked eg spread over four or five days or worked as three full days. The role comes with the flexible hours and hybrid working and a good benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Monthly Management accounts and reporting
• Forecasts and budgetting
  
• Establish and improve overhead, manufacturing cost and product margin analysis
• Investigate and explain variances and prepare bridge between actual performance and budget / forecast
• Assist the development of a suite of management reports to provide insight to financial performance of Sectors
• Assist department heads with budgetary analysis - actual v forecast
• Support with ad hoc financial analysis – will be extensive and varied
  

• Preferred: Qualified CIMA/ ACCA part or fully qualified 
• Solutions orientated, able to problem solve
  
• Minimum two years management accounts experience in an SME manufacturing company
  
• Strong accounting systems, Sage, ERP and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  
• High numeracy and sound technical skills
• Problem-solving skills and initiative.
