The company is a fast growth business in the chemicals sector. They require a Finance Director who will be a key member of the senior management team, advising on the best path of growth for the business and possessing overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company.

On offer in return is a basic starting salary of c£100,000 per annum, subject to experience, along with a suite of benefits that include:

• Discretionary bonus – circa £20,000 per annum

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Develops strategies to increase return on investment and profitability
• Presents financial reports to SMT and other stakeholders
• Providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial
• commitments are met
• Direct and manage finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard 
• Develop and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with
• Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
• Oversee production and monitoring of monthly management accounts and weekly margin reports

• Fully qualified Accountant with experience of a FD role
• International trading experience including foreign exchange, trade & invoice finance as well as credit insurance is essential
• Experience of functioning well within a team in the highly demanding trading culture
  
• Experience of international trade (Preferably within the chemical industry)
• Experience of implementing new IT systems
• Experience of demonstrating strong time management skills
• Balance sheet management and review
• Experience of working across cultures as relevant to our Global Marketplace
• Financial modelling
• Extensive knowledge of European VAT
• Excellent commercial and business acumen • Exceptional communication skills at all levels
• Strong IT skills, able to embrace new technologies
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making
• Understands financial reporting and has strong analytical skills
• Previous experience of successfully managing finance teams
