Our client, an Industrial equipment supplier based in Birmingham are seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounts Controller.

The position is available immediately and carries an important role, within asmall friendly office environment. They are an established company within the UK and a Group member in Germany, which is the location of the owners and manufacturing plant.

The position is office based at the UK site

Salary - £25k P.A.

Holidays - 27 days + Bank Holidays

Pension - Government NEST

Hours - 8.30am -5pm Mon-Thurs, 8.30am – 2.30pm Fridays


  • Dealing with Debtors and Creditors
  • Support with month end-compiling in readiness for Accounting
  • Ensure all transactions are entered onto SAGE
  • Accounts balancing
  • Processing of Invoices, payments and receipts
  • Processing and checking of company transactions and bank statements
  • Processing and filing of Financial and General accounting paperwork
  • Assist with all Financial Processing and reporting, including Accounts Payable/Receivable,
  • Reconciliations and General Ledger
  • Assistance to other departments, such as ordering inventory
  • General day to day tasks to support the business
  • Currency exchange
  • Intrastat and EC Sales


  1. Full knowledge of SAGE 50 Cloud
  2. Experience and skills of working with Microsoft Office
  3. Management accounting knowledge
  4. Ability to use own initiative
  5. High level of organisation
  6. Attention to detail
  7. Ability to communicate well at all business levels
  8. Approachable and knowledgeable character
  9. Experience within a SME environment
  10. Good telephone communicator
