Our client , a market leading manufacturing company with a 50 year history , are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a part time basis, 25 hours a week. There is good flexibility on how these hours are worked, either over less full days or shorter days spread across a full week etc.

  • Full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger
  • Matching purchase invoices to Purchase Orders, ensuring that purchase order has been correctly approved
  • Coding and data entry of purchase invoices onto purchase ledger
  • Preparation of payments to suppliers for authorisation
  • Raise and issue purchase orders
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist with bank reconciliations

  • Qualified Bookkeeper is preferred ( AAT / ICB etc) – will consider QBE
  • Good accounting software knowledge and experience - Sage line 50 is essential
  • Experienced Excel user and proficient in other MS Office products
  • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent system skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation and time management to ensure deadlines are met
  • Able to work on your own as well as part of the team
