Our client is a leading independent global distributor of TV programming, handling some of the planet’s best scripted and non-scripted brands.

They require a Management Accountant on an initial 18 month FTC to join their team and assist with Maternity leave cover. Based in West London, they offer hybrid working (most staff do 2 days per week in the office). This is a full time role and on offer is a salary of approx £55k (negotiable) plus good benefits.
This is a key role in the finance team and is responsible for supporting the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Accountant by producing and submitting timely and accurate monthly management information in line with group reporting requirements; intercompany reporting; treasury management; forecasting and budgeting; preparing key balance sheet reconciliations, among other tasks.


Management Accounting:

  • Working with the Senior Management Accountant to reconcile and report revenue & COS at month-end, including comparison of actuals vs budget/forecast.
  • Responsible for reporting monthly overheads and re-forecasting for management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary against latest forecast.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly group reporting submissions.
  • Reconciliation and management of key Balance Sheet accounts, working closely with the Business Controller and Content Operations team.
  • Maintenance of the fixed assets register including capitalising fixed assets, disposals, accumulated depreciation and all reporting in line with policy.
  • Preparing and posting monthly cost allocation against active titles.
  • Monthly preparation and upload of Group FX rates into the general ledger and monthly revaluation of currency balances.

Financial Accounting:

  • Monthly reconciliation of Intercompany accounts, agreeing balances with other group entities, entering the balances into the group reporting and consolidation system (SAP).
  • Periodic recharges of various Film Market related costs (including recharges to other Group companies).
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly/quarterly reforecasts ensuring all Group requirements are met.
  • Preparing and submitting the monthly rolling cash forecast to the Group treasury team and direct coordination and query resolution.
  • Reconciliation of loan and deposit accounts.
  • Preparation of the quarterly VAT return.




  • Qualified accountant or part qual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent international qualification).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, spoken, presentation), a team player with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Pro-active approach.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Prepared to contribute toward developing new processes and to help continually improve those currently in place.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of completing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with foreign exchange accounting
