This multi office practice in Kent, who provide accounting and business services to SME's in London and the South East, have a vacancy for a manager or Junior manager to join the team in their Dover Office. With over 100 staff and 14 partners this is a great opportunity for a candidate that is looking to progress their career. There is scope for this role to be a first step into management or, depending on experience, it can also be a springboard into a partnership position in 3-5 years.

There is good flexibility for this to be a full or part time role and hybrid working is available. The ideal candidate will be qualified but part qualified / studiers with previous practice experience will also be considered as the role can be adapted to fit the experience level of the successful candidate.

The key duties of the post are as follows:

• Responsible for a portfolio of clients
• Manage, mentor and train a team of up to 8 staff 
• Prepare and review of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
• Prepare and review of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for Sole Traders, Rental Property Income, Individuals and Partnerships
• Prepare Corporation Tax Computations for Limited Companies
• Provision of client-focused support including client meetings
• Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/staff 
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
• ACCA/ACA qualified / part qualified ( AAT minumum level 4) but will consider QBE if its in a practice setting
• Excellent client facing skills
• Able to liaise professionally via the telephone, letter and e-mail
• Excellent IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel, and accounting software eg Sage and Xero.
• Ability to work without supervision and to work to deadlines
