Our client , a specialist manufacturing company with a 70 year history based in Coventry , is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. Working closely with senior managers and the CEO, this role will be responsible for the financial operations of the UK business. They will assist in planning and commercial decision-making by providing appropriate financial information and undertaking related analysis. The role has real scope and possibility to progress into the role of Finance Director. This position will be perfect for someone who is able to deliver value in a growing business and is excited to gain wider experience in an organisation with an international footprint. This could be either a full time or a part time position , (approx four days a week), with flexible working.

Producing documents for, and positively contributing to, the monthly Board meetings
Building financial models to improve the accuracy of the company budgeting & forecasting process
Provide and facilitate strategic focus for the business and its senior members
Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
Finalise and analyse monthly management accounts including posting accruals, depreciation etc.
Stock Reporting and Stock Audit over 4 plants
Manage, coach and motivate an established small Finance team
Working with Product Managers on pricing and margin analysis and assisting with pricing changes in line with raw material fluctuations
Producing the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
Leading and managing the year end Audit Process with the assistance of the Finance Manager
Preparing documentation required for the Corporation Tax computation
Managing annual renewals of leases, utilities, healthcare etc.
Ideally qualified (ACA / CIMA/ ACCA) finance professional
Experience in the retail or distribution sector would be an advantage
Experience of manufacturing would be an advantage
Experience of stock accounting essential
Excellent communication skills
Excel and SAP experience is essential
Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
