One of the longest established and larger independent firms of ICAEW Chartered Accountants in Cardiff have a vacancy for a Client Manager who is already qualified, either as ACA or ACCA, to work on a wide range of clients. 

The work of a client manager is varied and includes accounts preparation, company and personal tax return preparation, some audit work and ad hoc tasks as they arise. Due to the technical nature of accounting standards and legislation, your experience will need to have been mostly gained in public practice so that you can prepare and finalise accounts with minimum supervision.

You will need to be an all rounder with clear and confident communication skills. A working knowledge of Sage, Xero and other software will be an advantage.

The position is full time, with a 35 hour working week and working hours of 09:00 - 16:30. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Preparation of unincorporated accounts and tax returns
• Preparation of company statutory accounts and tax returns
• Liaising with clients via email, telephone and face to face
• Online filing accounts with Companies House and tax returns with HMRC
• Working as part of an audit team
• Supervising junior staff and reviewing their work
• Occasional bookkeeping and filing VAT returns
