This fast paced company based in Hollingbourne and with a turnover of ÂŁ12m, is looking for a new Accounts Assistant to join their team.
As an accounts assistant, the ultimate task is to ensure the posting of the Purchase Invoices from Suppliers and Subcontractors and assisting the Accounts team. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for keeping the Purchase ledger on Sage up to date and ensuring the creditors are clear. A good knowledge and experience of using Sage 50 professional would be beneficial to the role but not essential as training will be given. You will also assist with basic administration task when required and help answer telephone calls when required.
Input Purchase Invoices.
Deal with invoice queries with suppliers/subcontractors and chasing credits.
Assist the Accounts Seniors in preparing the month end
Chasing missing invoices
Matching invoices to statements
Pay end of month payments
CIS Returns to / HMRC
Inputting some Roofing/Groundworkers’ Teams Timesheets.
Assist with answering all accounts emails and queries.
Assisting procurement with raising material/hire orders
General filing etc.
Maintain archive Room
Assisting Admin assistants and PA to Directors with Answering phones.
Setting up suppliers/subcontractors on Sage
Raise reactive sales invoices & upload to the Customers portals
Assist the General Manager in arranging Team Building events
Assist in setting up of engineer Tablets

Sage knowledge and previous experience desirable but not essential
